And Your Question is...?

All children like to ask questions when they don’t understand something. What do we do as adults when we don’t understand something? We ask questions. I know that when I need to know something, I start asking questions. Truth be told, I don’t have all the answers (LOL). But I know someone who does…GOD, the creator of the universe. So I start talking to the LORD to find out what I need to know. I also read HIS word in search of the answers. Because whatever I do, I want it to glorify HIM. By asking HIM the questions and searching HIS word for the answers, I know I am following HIS heart, not mine.
In Psalm 27:4, David tells us this is what he longed for. “One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in HIS temple.” To inquire means to seek for information earnestly. See. David asked questions and talked to the LORD from the time he was a boy. He wanted to know the heart of GOD. And like David, how could we know the heart of GOD unless we inquire of HIM through reading HIS word and talking to HIM, seeking answers to our questions?
It is okay to ask GOD questions. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of GOD, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” God longs for us to talk to HIM, even if it is to just ask questions. How else will we learn what brings HI glory? When we ask questions, GOD is right there ready to listen and guide us to the answers we seek. HE shows us the through HIS word, or HE might even use words or action from others, In doing so, we will know that the answer came from the LORD, because we asked HIM the questions. Each time we get an answer that we know is from the LORD, guess what…our faith begins to grow, and so does our relationship with the LORD. And this is what HE wanted in the first place. So keep seeking HIM for the answers to your questions. Build that relationship of trust with the LORD. HE is longing for it.
